My Fashion Inspirations

Hailey Bieber

Hailey Bieber is a fashion icon from her red carpet looks all the way to her effortless model-off-duty style that we all try so hard to perfect. Much of this “model-off-duty” look is why Hailey Bieber has become such an iconic woman in fashion. These looks usually consist of understated yet sophisticated oversized blazers, sought after sneakers, wide leg but tapered pants, and a simpler crop top. One of the things I appreciate about Hailey’s style the most is that it is not over the top but still trendy, feminine, and stands out.

Bridgette Pheloung

Bridgette Pheloung is a fashion/lifestyle blogger and YouTuber, also known as @acquiredstyle on Instagram and TikTok, that I came across on social media about a year ago. In simple terms, the best way I ca describe her style is classy streetwear with a hint of elegance and grunginess. As soon as I saw Bridgette’s Instagram page for the first time, I knew I was hooked. She is great at mixing luxury and lower priced pieces and as a college student aspiring to find her own personal style, I appreciate this a lot.

Jackie Kennedy

Jackie Kennedy, otherwise known as Jackie O, is hands down one of the most influential names to ever grace the fashion industry. She singlehandedly, whether she realized it or not, she influenced the curation of American women’s wardrobes for years to decades. Her style is timeless, elegant, and not to mention she popularized many of the famous designer items we still know and love today. A great example of this is Gucci’s saddlebag that they reamed in 1961 to be the Jackie saddlebag. If you gather anything from this information, let it be that Jackie Kennedy is a pillar of American women’s fashion and will be admired by fashion lovers like you and me for years to come.

Carrie Bradshaw

I had to throw at least one somewhat fictional character in this mix, and it had to be Carrie Bradshaw from the hit show Sex and the City. Sarah Jessica Parker’s role as Carrie Bradshaw has been a huge inspiration to me whether that be in general or relating to her fashion style. Carrie’s style is unique, fearless, and timeless. She mixes those timeless pieces with more unique ones and she balances it perfectly. I cannot say I would personally wear every item Carrie had in her closet, but I sure do appreciate all of them and the way that she made every single one look so effortlessly put together.

Kendall Jenner

Now, hear me out on this one, I know this may seem like a basic answer, but specifically Kendall’s red-carpet style is unbeatable. She is always one of the first names I look up after a big event or red-carpet just because I know it will be fabulous. Her Met Gala looks have always been stunning and 2021 was definitely no exception. Her red-carpet style is always form fitting and tasteful yet very stylish and I do not think that pulling these three things off together is easy.

I loved sharing my personal fashion inspirations and hope that this can help you pinpoint who and what type of style excites your inner personality and creativity.

With Love,

Callie
