Cold Weather Fashion Trends I Love for 2021
Cold weather to me means my favorite seasons, time spent with the people you love, and fashion. Some of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe are brought out during the colder months and it always makes me excited to store my old season clothing and bring out the new. While I love everything that spring and summer fashion have to offer, winter brings so may new possibilities. Off the top of my head, layering, different color palettes, and knitwear are some of my favorite ways to ring in the cold weather.
In this post, I am going to share with you some of my favorite cold-weather fashion trends for 2021 and the ways they can be worn.
Geometry: Love it or Hate it?
Geometric patterns have been a HUGE piece of fashion in 2021 so far, and I hope to see them continue to thrive throughout the colder months. Different geometric patterns and prints have had their times throughout the years, but bold, colorful, repeating patterns are all the rage for the remainder of the year. Evening-wear is not always a category you would think to see these types of prints in, but I think we should expect to see them more and more as time goes on.

Are Muted Fall Tones Out?
Jewel tones are colors I believe should have always been celebrated during the fall and winter, but their time has finally come. Emerald greens, deep purples, mustard yellows, oranges, and even fuchsia tones are some of the beautiful, new staples for the colder months. While the colors that usually come to mind for fall and winter are rather muted in tone, I am definitely here for the shift to jewel-inspired colors.

The Chunkier, the Better
Chunky knits are a topic I believe most people would agree with me on as a staple trend for fall. While I love a more fitted knit top or sweater, layering with a chunky turtleneck, in my opinion, just immediately brings a cozier vibe/aesthetic to the whole outfit. One of my favorite ways to pair an oversized, chunky kit sweater is with a more fitted pair of leather pants paired with your favorite boots (mine are Doc Martens).

Cut Outs are in
Cut outs have been a trend throughout almost every season recently; side cutouts in mini dresses, backless tops, and even in pants. While cutouts on pants may not be my personal cup of tea, I really love cutout mini dresses and the various ways cutouts can be displayed on a top or even a cute sweater.
